*1.8*: Ghosts in the Machine
Well, that was a pretty tense episode in which very little changed.
It was surprising how far that Graystone would go to prove that Zoe was in the robot, but of course we were simultaneously reminded of how far he's already gone--stealing technology that led to murder.
Similarly, Adama showed us that he was willing to go further than he thought he could in search of his own daughter. The question is, will he listen to the fact that she apparently wants to be where she is.
Surprised to see next episode is the finale, but I'm glad we'll be getting closure on plots (or so one presumes).

*1.9*: End of the Line
That was a pretty amazing semi-season finale, a good resolution to many of our plots, even if we don't know entirely the results of the resolution. And so many questions.
What was the call Graystone received at the end?
His wife is dead? The robot is destroyed? The company has been taken over? The contract is gone?
I think we're clearly meant to think one of the first two, and they clearly have the most emotional resonance, so I think it *should* be one of them. I'd go with #2, because it's the one that has the opportunity for interesting growth on the thread of transhumanism (as Zoe claws her way back from the grave again?).
Why is Amanda seeing her brother?
She's going crazy again? She's being driven crazy again? She's seeing something from a higher plane?
I'd go with #2 here too. I think Graystone's competitor is the cause of Amanda's visions, as he's promised to take everything away, and making his wife commit suicide would definitely fit into that plan.
When is the show returning?
July? September? January?
I'm seen one suggestion that the answer is October. It looks like they're swapping it out for Stargate Universe which strikes me as dumb. They're both more dramatic takes on SF; I think they'd do well together.
More generally on this episode: I loved seeing Clarice as dangerous, not just creepy. It was a good move. I was also struck for the first time that this show is actually a tragedy. Perhaps I'm wrong, but with the operatic music running behind some of these scenes, it felt that way.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the show's return, whenever, and I hope that at least they're given a season #2, and told to take it to finish their story.
