Well, at least based on the sample cinnamon pinwheel (which was made of twice-worked-over leftover pie crust) the vodka pie crust is a resounding success.
What I did:
my standard pie crust, which is to say:
2 cups flour
1/3rd cup Crisco
1/3rd cup frozen butter
1 tsp kosher salt
Ice water to make sticky (2-5 tbsp.)
except I used vodka for 50% of the fluid.
I can't vouch for the pie yet, but the leftovers, rolled up with cinnamon and brown sugar, were amazingly good.
