There's been some far-future news about Dr. Who.
Season 4 has already been confirmed, and is presumably filming or filming soon.
Then there will be no Dr. Who series in 2009. Instead there will just be 3 specials, reportedly so that David Tennant can be in Hamlet opposite Patrick Stewart.
Then season 5 returns in 2010. Though it hasn't been announced, it's a pretty good guess that Tennant will remain around as the Doctor since they're taking a year off for him.
With four seasons under his belt, that'll make him the most long-lived Doctor since Tom Baker, and just one of three who have stuck around that long (with Jon Pertwee being the other).
