Well, with the word Daleks in the title, it was nice to see the reveal not unduly delayed. Likewise, I'm always happy to see references to the old (pre-v2) mythology, here the explicit references to Skaros, home planet of the Daleks. Now if we could just get some references to Davros too!
I begin to see why fans seem to always hate half of each season of the new Doctor Who ... and it's never the same half. The new show really seems to work hard to mimic a variety of different styles that the show has used over its very long history. Gridlock could have fit right into the Sixth Doctor era, while this episode was much, much more classic. In fact, it reminded me a lot of William Hartnell's Dalek Invasion of Earth.
With the main point really being an action/SF story, there isn't a lot to say about it. The human-dalek seemed cheesy to me, but that's pretty much the genre, so I won't complain too much.
