Well, it took me all week to see the episode ... but what an excellent episode.
The introduction of The Marked was exactly what was needed to get the show firmly back on track. It not only reintroduced the idea of the future wars, but also *finally* answered the question of What Matthew was up to back in season 2 or 3, which had been a long ignored dangler.
I spent the episode trying to suss out if any of our characters were among the Marked, but I think the answer is "no", that the attack on Tom takes care of that possibility.
I wish more of the show was this strong!

Agreed. And is it my imagination or was the Bill Gates equivalent played by Tim DeKay, who also played 'Jonesy' on the lamented Carnivale?
I was left wondering, though, why the secret agents from the future are cut off from it, when we know that those in power in the future can snatch people back and forth across time. Perhaps their faction doesn't have access to a time machine?
SPOILER ALERT:
I also wonder if Tom's implantation with the other personality (or whatever it is) explains why he will eventually take the promicin shot. That is, the film-maker told us that the secret agents of the future do not have abilities, "it doesn't work that way." So I can see a scenario coming where Tom is taken over by his 'sleeper personality', then reverts to being himself, and takes the shot to prevent the sleeper from re-emerging.
I also suspect that Sean's healing of the rival politician's stroke may not make any difference to how the man acts.
Finally, am I correct that in the low-budget film about Isabel's murder of Matthew, Isabel played herself?

It all depends on who caused the stroke.
If it was natural, there's probably not going to be any change.
But if it was caused by the visions, then they could have changed the future. I believe Collier when he said that he didn't cause it, but I don't believe no one in his organization did. In particular, I think Isabel knew everything required.
