I added a new spoiler code to the board which you can use like this:

You should use it if you're discussing something in a thread beyond that which readers of the thread might be prepared for, and especially if it's info on a book that hasn't been published, an episode that hasn't been aired, etc.
For specific discussions of individual TV episodes, books, etc., you can reasonably assume that people are familiar with the topic in question, and thus spoilers of that episode/book aren't needed.
