I've been catching this on BBC America. Eschatological teen drama with British sensibilities (in a good, dark, gritty way).
It's like, er... if Harry Potter went to school with the Borgias--and lesbian ghosts!
I'm really not describing this well, am I? :(

But you certainly make it sound intriguing;).

I heard it wasn't very good... true or not?

How can we say what is "good"? Is it in the nature of a thing, or is it a human quality attributed to it? If the latter, is it...
Okay, I got nothing.
Here's the deal: it really is like a soap opera. You don't have to watch every episode the whole way through to get an idea of the larger story. Dipping into it now and again, you may catch very worthy bits, like Ella Dee (last of the Anointed Ones) dispatching an evil faerie, or having a dramatic fight with Malachai (Messiah of the Fallen Angels). You might catch the hot lesbian ghosts--oogaba!--or the archangels/archdemons who try to sway events.

Quite true. I don't think I even need to give an explanation. It really just didn't work at all.

Yeah, I'll have to say that after watching the first two episodes on BBC America I had no desire to go back for more.

My wife and I were the same way. And she normally eats this shit up.

It's actually on in the morning here on Sky One, so there's an episode on before I go to work. On the third viewing through, it seems to be even worse than at first. Shame really, I was pretty interested in the idea from the start.

I sort of liked it. I don't watch it often, but I'd be interested in picking up the DVD and checking it out from there.
