Well, it looks like they're indeed going with monster-of-the-week again this season, but at least this week's was a bit more nuanced. I would have even felt sympathy for the father if it was more about "my poor kid" and less about "why can't I play baseball with my boy".
SEAN. It was great to see Sean using his power again. It was often very moving when he used it in early seasons, and there's no exception there.
KYLE. So I leaned over to my wife halfway through the episode and said (about the red-haired girl), "I'm going to have to start watching if she interacts with anyone else". They sure didn't take long for that shoe to drop. Kyle being the prophet who helps lead the 4400 suggests again that the release of promicin was all part of a plan.
But where did the prophecy come from?
In any case, Kyle has long been a favorite on the show. I'm glad that he's going to get more focus this year.
TOM. Well, that has to be the shortest-lived obsession ever in the history of TV shows. I don't think we even saw him put up his "crazy wall", did we?
However, I'm not sure how you could see this historical Alana being around in the past for only 6 months and come to any conclusion *except* that she's coming back.
The larger question is, was Alana taken away because Tom's purpose is now done, or is he still important?
ISABEL. If you believe she's never getting her powers back, I have a bridge to sell you.
The question is, was the guy she's was talking to lying to her, or was he mistaken? I'm betting the first.
