Final Touchpad Note (No More)

So I gave up on all software/hardware fixes and did put something over the touchpad. I cut a piece of clear plastic from a CD case and affixed it with cellophane tape -- not Scotch tape, which is not clear and not very sticky, but some off-brand, rather narrow -- and taped down on side of this clear plastic panel, so that at need I can raise it as though on a hinge, and use the touchpad (which in some look-it-up-quick situations I do need to do). It works and it's nearly invisible. I cut the plastic with a box cutter (oops, now the FBI will be reading my LJ).

Thanks to all for suggestions simple (but unworkable) and drastic (unplugging the keyboard from within).
