I picked up the first tradepaperback of 52, which has been discussed somewhat in the new comics thread, on Thursday, and I must say I was quite pleased with it. I've just seen it from afar thus far, but I'd been looking forward to it.
I'm thinking about writing a full review when I get the review software up (hopefully next week), but it was a very well-written comic that takes some of the minor stars of the DC Universe and puts them front and foremost. I especially love the blending of styles, from superhero to mystery to space adventure (though the last gets particularly short shift, I think).
The thing that interests me the most is the Resurrection Cult, because it teases the possibility of bringing back two much beloved characters. I'm really looking forward to seeing how that plays out, though I think it's just going to be a big tease by the end.
(No spoilers past issue #13, please, as I somehow managed to remain unspoiled on this series, which is often a trick when you read everything in TPBs.)
