http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/lsd/images/archive/lsd_blotter_hofmann3.jpgOn April 29 (coincidentally my 30th birthday), Albert Hofmann died at 102 (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/30/world/europe/30hofmann.html), his age a testament to the preservative action of LSD on the human body. I want to take a moment to honor him for his contribution to humanity (including one of the most famous bicycle rides ever (http://www.erowid.org/general/conferences/conference_mindstates4_nichols.shtml)). If you are unfamiliar with this great psychedelic pioneer, perhaps you’d like to read more about him (http://www.erowid.org/culture/characters/hofmann_albert/hofmann_albert.shtml)? Happily for psychonauts, much of his writing is available online, including his classic book LSD: My Problem Child (http://www.psychedelic-library.org/child.htm). He will be missed here on earth, but the great teacher he gave us lives on.
