Well, Spitzer has resigned, and our wives and daughters can all rest easier, knowing they will not be sold or bartered into the service of the man's insatiable lust. Over $50,000 and that was just to one escort service!
Now the question is, Should Spitzer serve time in prison? Many other people do, and for much cheaper whores. How about an equitable compromise based on the ancient Salic laws of Frauengelt (woman-money)? Spitzer has three teenage daughters and a wife. What if each of them agree to be prostitued on e-Bay until they had earned for their dad an amount equivalent to what he'd spent on Kirsten and his other lady-loves. That seems fair to me. How about you?
