And while I'm very glad of the Season 8 comics, I find myself looking back at the series as much as I ever did.

I've watched episodes to kick back and have fun, to make notes for my RPG series, to see how this or that storytelling device works (or sometimes doesn't), to laugh, to cry, to cheer along, to make myself feel better.

Just now, I emailed the organiser of Edinburgh's Can't Stop The Serenity (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=104851304) screening on June 23rd to see how it's going and if she needs a hand. It'll be good to reconnect, and to do some good.

Forgive my rambling.

Sad, isn't it? But I have to say, having Heroes is almost as good as having Whedon back on TV...

Although it wasn't genre, Veronica Mars was really three seasons worth of almost-Buffyness, with its spunky female detective lead, its season-long arcs, and its good sense of humor.

I'm stunned by how often my wife or I say, "I still really miss having Buffy to look forward to".

Yeah. It's one of the few shows I feel a need to rewatch (in part, at least) every year or so. Thank God for DVDs.

Just finished re-watching Season 7 last week. :) Buffy had its weak moments, but at the end of the day it's my favorite thing to come out of television.

Getting Joss back at the wheel of a TV series (for more than eleven episodes) would be lovely... especially as...

"So do you have any ideas for a new TV show now?"
I have ideas all the time.

"Care to share?"
I never tell anyone my ideas.
