I'm having problems with the color scheme to this site - to me, it's physically unattractive, almost repulsive and doesn't make me want to hang out here or browse. If there were some options to change the scheme, it would be much appreciated!

The green is a bit strong and the purple hues seem to be a holdover from RPGnet.
If you're determined to go green perhaps something like the colour schemes in the following links?

If someone wants to suggest a set of colors I'm happy to consider alternatives.
Basically I need two primary colors (currently green and black) and two secondary colors (currently light blue and that thing that looks white). The primary colors are used for headers, the secondary colors for backgrounds.
I'm pretty fond of the logo itself, with the green Xenagia against the black background, so something that fits in with that is superior but not required, as it could be changed.

(Trying to assess what currently problems might be, I think the back is a bit overpowering, but I find the green pretty subdued. The powerder-puff blue probably doesn't go as well with the green as other colors could, but I didn't particularly like it when I tried a pastel green hue.)

Light/post-it note yellow might be a good replacement for the blue. The green will still pop that way, but it might not be as harsh a contrast.

I have to agree that the green and the blue don't go well together.

Yep. It's ugly. We need to change it.

I've tried another iteration. I'm not entirely happy with it, but I'm willing to take complaints, compliments, or suggestions at this point.

I came up with a new color scheme set.
I'll post the examples this afternoon.

I'm redoing buttons too. Hopefully have examples before the weekend.

I tried to mute the colors to make the post content the strongest element on the screen.
I made the buttons similar in format and color to the banner in order to integrate the banner into now muter page.
If it's acceptable I can post color codes and button images.

It may look a little drab floating in the middle of a higher contrast/vivid page, but I think it's pretty easy on the eyes when viewed on its own.

The colors look good.
I'm less sold on the buttons because they somehow look too big, even though I'm sure they're the same size as the ones that currently exist, but I'd be willing to give them a try.
So, post, and I should be able to get them integrated tomorrow or Wednesday.

Let me try something else with the buttons this evening and I'll post both versions.

I like Valandil's colour scheme but... got to agree with ShannonA, those buttons are horrible. It's probably because the only other black is in the banner at the top and is fairly unobtrusive. If you've got the image files for the buttone, I'd be interested to have a look (also the HTML codes for the colour scheme too).

Valandil,
Even without the graphics, I'd still love to get your color scheme, as I think it looks good, and I've been putting off doing some revamps until I'm settled on some updated colors.
