I'm catching up on Heroes on NBC's website, and I just got to 1.18 ".07%," and I have to say that the show is not terribly subtle with the Christ symbolism.

That said, it's a great show, and Malcolm McDowell is an excellent villain. I can't wait for the finale...

And... (spoilers for episode 5.19 "Five Years Gone") the best explanation for Dubya's TRUE IDENTITY ever!

Well they're at least a little bit subtle because I've not seen it. 9/11 parallels - all over the shop, Christ allegories - not so much.
Care to elaborate?

When Isaac dies, he says he's going to die to save the world. Then he gets literally nailed to the ground through his wrists and ankles, and his forehead gets cut.

Now you've pointed it out to me I can see it. I don't think its a major theme in the series, just a pointer for those who look for that kind of stuff, and possible redemption for the character in question considering what went down with their s.o.

It's not an ongoing theme though is it. But in general, Heroes is about as far from subtle as you can get...

Yeah... I wasn't saying it was a big theme, but the allusion there was pretty clear.

Yep, I noticed and winced at that particular scene in that particular episode, but I think in general the show has been quite good. It keeps me guessing in a way that most network TV can't.
