My esteemed colleague http://stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif (http://yswilce.livejournal.com/profile)yswilce (http://yswilce.livejournal.com/) reminds us (http://yswilce.livejournal.com/15146.html) that SFWAns are enjoined to cast their votes for Nebula Nominations, which close tonight at midnight, Dec. 31st. But even if you're not in SFWA, you have a chance to make a difference in the arts this year by Dec. 31st by joining the Interstitial Arts Foundation. $25 makes you a member (or renews your membership), and gets your name up on our Friends of IAF (http://www.interstitialarts.org/join_us.html)list with a link to your blog or homepage if you like.

Yeah, I know, it's that time again: worthy causes all asking for your financial support, as we try to balance our books for 2007 - with the added incentive of a tax deduction . . . You'll thank me in April! And consider all that the IAF has accomplished in 2007:

* Publication of Interfictions: An Anthology of Interstitial Writing (http://interfictions.blogspot.com/). “A phenomenal collection . . . engrossing and provocative!” – Hipster Bookclub (http://www.hipsterbookclub.com/reviews/copy/interfictions_delia_sherman.html). . . “Belongs on the nightstand of anyone interested in the development of contemporary short fiction.” – Michael Bishop, Atlanta Journal-Constitution

* Two Interstitial Salons, (http://p081.ezboard.com/The-IAF-Salon/finterstitialartsfrm30) hosted by intrepid members of the IAF board of directors on our Discussion Board. (http://pub103.ezboard.com/binterstitialarts)

* The Interfictions blog (http://interfictions.blogspot.com/) posted five monthly podcasts (http://interfictions.blogspot.com/search/label/Podcasts)

* Four new IAF banners (http://www.geocities.com/papaveria) for your blog/website

* Organized two Interstitial panels at New York's MoCCA (Museum of Comics and Cartoon Art) lecture series

* Events and panels at Readercon, Worldcon, and WisCon, and appearances at national juried crafts & art shows, and Sponsored interstitial readings across the US

* Featured in a 12-page color spread in Faerie Magazine

* Submitted grant proposals for the first big Interstitial Art show

We see the IAF as a powerful engine for change in the way that the world categorizes and consumes all sorts of art - and for connecting and encouraging those who "color outside the lines." But to continue doing that, we need your help. If interstitial art is important to you, please make a donation today, and help the IAF keep that idea alive. Please consider your IAF Friend-ship right now by making a new donation via Click&Pledge (http://www.interstitialarts.org/join_us.html) on our website.
