I have a note from James Morrow, anent the recent anthology of world SF writers he has seen into print:
"Tonight I'm writing because, given your status as a former guest at Utopiales, I'm hoping you might be willing to talk about our SFWA European Hall of Fame a bit in the blogosphere.
As you probably know, this labor-of-love was born and bred at Utopiales, and it received lots of pre-publication attention, as would befit the first anthology of its kind in nearly a quarter-century: sixteen stories and novelettes carefully translated into English from thirteen different European languages.
But, alas, the actual hardcover sales have been even slower than this sort of idealistic project normally enjoys, so any attempt you might make to up the buzz would be greatly appreciated by all concerned: authors, translators, friends of the project, and, of course, myself."
The buzz is herein upped, insofar as I can up it (not far), and while Jim gave me no website or other sales info, I'm sure readers here will be clever enough to find a way to buy this book. Strange to think that SF of all genres should be parochial -- we should not permit it to be.
