They were Mormons--missionaries in Mexico--
and they had smiles carved in marble,
smiles no argument or put-down
could affect or efface, smiles
just like Mitt Romney's, whom they will certainly
vote for if they get the chance. Is it unkind
to think them not quite human?
I think the same of the ancient Aztecs,
of severely brain-damaged infants, of George Bush II,
and of those who'd like to kill me
because they don't like the way I look.
So what did Mitt Romney have to say
about Mormonism today, in his much-hyped speech?
Nothing at all and at some length. I would never
vote for him, but what a great lead
he'd make in a Mormon horror movie.
